The City of Malibu Cultural Arts Commission will exhibit the second installation of artwork as part of the Malibu City Hall Exhibition related to the Woolsey Fire. Radical Beauty, Malibu Rising is a collaborative community exhibition which will feature photography, paintings, drawing, free standing art, short films, and written work.
The Call to Artists was open on Friday, August 2 and closed on Sunday, August 18, 2019. Local artists are encouraged to submit paintings, photography, sculptures, short films, written work, poetry, and other art inspired by the Woolsey Fire. The City will accept online submissions through ArtCall.org. Artist will be required to create a user profile on the site. On Friday, September 20 at 6:30 PM the Cultural Arts Commission will host the Opening Reception of Radical Beauty, Malibu Rising at Malibu City Hall.
The exhibit will be displayed from September 23 through December 2019 at Malibu City Hall (23825 Stuart Ranch Road) Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Admission is complimentary.
